Latest Walt Disney World Park Hours NewsEnd of April and May Park Hours Update April 24, 2012 Disney has updated park hours at 3 of it's 4 theme parks for a few days at the end of April and many days in May. Here is a list of the calendar changes. Over at the Magic Kingdom, days affected in May include one, two or three extra hours added to the closing time along with the standard extra Main Street Electrical Parade:
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, many more days are affected in May with the usual addtional showing of Fantasmic. As well, we see some 8:00 am openings:
There are few changes at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Of note is that with Extra Magic Hours on May 26, the park will open at 7:00 am:
For the month of May, there are no changes at Epcot, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Major Update to April Theme Park and Water Park Hours March 24, 2012 At Walt Disney World’s flagship Magic Kingdom park, most days in April are affected. In the first two weeks of the month, Celebrate a Dream Come True parade is running twice. With Morning Extra Magic Hours, some days in April see 7:00 am openings. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, most days in April are affected. Several days see 8:00 am openings on the new calendar while many days with an extended hour at closing see an additional Fantasmic. Of note is that the Morning Extra Magic Hours planned for April 28 have moved to April 27. Here is a table of the April changes at DHS:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom also sees most days in April updated positively. Like the Magic Kingdom, some days in April see 7:00 am openings when including Morning Extra Magic Hours. Here is a table of the April changes at AK:
At Epcot, the only change on the April calendar is the swap of Night Extra Magic Hours from April 27 to April 28. Here is a table of the April changes at Epcot:
Finally, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach see their hours affected in a negative manner. Opening time has moved from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for the first 14 days of April. Here is a table of the April changes at the water parks:
Major Park Hours Update for March 2012 February 24, 2012 Disney has made some big changes to the March schedule at three of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. First however, some updates for the end of February. Over at the Magic Kingdom, an extra hour of fun has been added on February 26, 27 and 28. On the 24-hour day of February 29, a showing of the Main Street Electrical Parade has been added at midnight. Disney’s Hollywood Studios sees its closing time expanded by one hour on February 26 with an additional Fantasmic. Now back to the big changes for March. The Magic Kingdom is the park most affected with changes virtually every day. Some days see an extra hour added to the closing time (1, 2, 4, 7), an extra MSEP (21, 27, 28), an extra hour and an extra MSEP (3, 9, 11, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30), two hours added to the closing time (5, 6, 8), two hours plus an extra MSEP (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 26), three extra hours added to closing plus an extra MSEP (10), and finally an 8:00 am opening along with 2 hours added to closing with an extra MSEP (31). Disney’s Hollywood Studios also sees significant changes. Closing time has been expanded by one hour with an additional Fantasmic showing on March 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Closing time has been expanded by two hours plus one Fantasmic on March 3 and 4. On March 10 an extra hour has been added to opening along with two hours at closing and an extra Fantasmic. March 1 sees an 8:00 am opening along with an extra performance of Fantasmic. Finally, March 18 sees an extra half-hour (!) added to closing time along with an extra Fantasmic. Animal Kingdom’s calendar for March has been updated with an extra hour at closing time for March 6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28 and 31. March 12, 13 and 14 have an extra hour at both opening (8:00 am) and closing. There are no changes to the schedules for Epcot, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon |
