Disney World Park Hours Update for 1st Quarter of 2012

Disney has updated park hours for the end of January, February and March. Of significant note is that the 24-hour operating day on February 29 has affected Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
At the Magic Kingdom, hours are expanded by one hour on January 29 and 30. February 28 sees the addition of Morning Extra Magic Hours while Night Extra Magic Hours have been removed on March 1. The official schedule finally shows the 24-hour day on February 29th with a 6:00 am opening and a 6:00 am closing on March 1 (with a re-opening on March 1 at 9:00 am). Many days in March (3, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31) see one hour added to the park closing time.
Epcot has lost Morning Extra Magic Hours on February 28 but added Night Extra Magic Hours on March 1.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the only change is the addition of one hour to the park closing time on February 27.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom sees extended operating times on multiple days in February (11, 12, 23, 24, 25). In March one hour has been added to both the opening time (now 8:00 am) and closing time for several days around the President’s Day holiday (18, 19, 20, 21, 22).
There are no changes for February or March at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.
Finally, please note that other web sites are reporting park hours extended on many days in February. However, those changes are not reflected on the official Walt Disney World calendar at this time so we are not showing those changes. Last Minute Changes to Park Hours for President’s Visit

President Obama will be making a special announcement regarding the tourism industry on Thursday, January 19, at the Magic Kingdom. It appears Main Street U.S.A. will be closed for a good part of the day. Due to the President’s speech, park hours have been adjusted by Disney.
Magic Kingdom loses Extra Magic Hours and Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade has been rescheduled for 3:30 pm. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Night Extra Magic Hours have been added along with a special fireworks show titled, Rock the Night Fireworks Spectacular at 7:00 pm. Night Extra Magic Hours have been added to Epcot and Morning Extra Magic Hours added to Animal Kingdom (moved from January 18). As always, please remember that schedules are subject to change without notice.
Walt Disney World Park Hours Updated for January

Magic Kingdom hours have been updated on several days in the new year. On Janaury 1, an extra hour has been added in the morning and at night. On the 2, 3, 7, 15, 21, and 28, an extra hour has been added to the closing time. On the 14, two hours have been added at the end of the day. There are no changes to showings for Wishes or the Main Street Electrical Parade.
At Disney's Animal Kingdom, only a few days in January see changes. One extra hour has been added to both the opening and closing times for the 1, 2, 3, and 4. One extra hour has been added at night for the 5, 14, and 15.
There are no changes so far for January at Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot.
In a side note, closing hours have been expanded by 1 hour on today's December 20 schedule at MK, DHS and AK.
UPDATE DECEMBER 21: Minor update today. Epcot drops from an early 8:00 am opening to 9:00 am on December 25 (Extra Magic Hours still scheduled however, so starting at 8:00 am instead of the originally scheduled 7:00 am). Disney's Hollywood Studios expands closing times from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on April 24 and 25, 2012.
Disney World Holiday Hours Updated

Holidays hours have been updated today and there are MAJOR changes at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
At the Magic Kingdom, most days in December (5, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31) have expanded hours and many days see an additional Main Street Electrical Parade. The park will open at 8:00 am on a fair number of days. On December 2 and 3, Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade will run at 5:00 pm due to the Christmas Day Parade tapings. Of note as well is that Holiday Wishes and Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade begin December 19, with the daytime parade running twice a day Christmas week.
MK also sees some expanded hours in January (9, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 27) and February (5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 27). As of January 2, Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade moves from 3:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, most days in December (1, 4, 6, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31) see calendar changes. Closing times are expanded by 1 or 2 hours and most of the affected days see an extra Fantasmic or two. Christmas week the park opens at 8:00 am and there are 3 showings of Fantasmic!
As previously reported, Fantasmic goes down for rehab at the beginning of January and returns on February 13.
There are no changes at Animal Kingdom in December. Note that Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade will have its last holiday run on January 2 instead of January 3. Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade picks up on January 3.
Only minor changes at Epcot in December with the park opening time changed to 8:00 am for Christmas week (not including Christmas day).
There are no changes at Typhoon Lagoon. The park goes down for refurbishment as originally planned on December 4.
There are no changes at Blizzard Beach. As originally scheduled, the park opens from it’s refurbishment on December 4.
