Walt Disney World Park Hours and Wait Times

Disney is playing roulette with park hours once again. If you planned your September vacation in the last few days, you better get your erasers out! In short, Disney has basically wiped out all the extra hours and show additions made just 3 days ago.

At the Magic Kingdom, closing times have been shuttered by one hour on September 9 and 22, and by two hours on September 26. October 2 has also lost one hour. All these days also see the Main Street Electrical Parade drop from two showings to one. As well, MK was scheduled to open at 8:00 am on September 11, 18 and 25. That has now changed back to 9:00 am.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, the nights of September 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 25 and 30 have all been trimmed by one-and-a-half hours. As well, the second showing of Fantasmic has been removed from the schedule. The closing time on October 7 has been reduced by two-and-a-half hours along with the removal of a Fantasmic.

There have been no changes to Epcot or Animal Kingdom today.

As usual, these hours are subject to change. In fact, it would not surprise me if Disney un-did these changes within the next few days.

Big Walt Disney World Park Hours Update!

Big news today as Walt Disney World park hours for September, October, February and March have been updated.

In September, Magic Kingdom hours have been extended in the morning (11, 18, 25) and evening (9, 22, 26) along with some extra showings of the Main Street Electrical Parade on some of those nights. Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, September hours have been expanded on many days (2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 25, 30) along with an extra showing of Fantasmic. On the 25th, 2-and-a-half hours have been added to the original closing time. There are no changes to September hours for the Animal Kingdom or Epcot.

Magic Kingdom hours have been extended on October 2 and an extra MSEP has been added. There are no other changes to October at this time.

Animal Kingdom has seen its closing time reduced by 1 hour from February 1st to the 12th.

March Hours have been added for all Disney theme and water parks. Of note is that there are no evening Extra Magic Hours over at Animal Kingdom in March, only morning EMH.

Walt Disney World August Hours Updated

At the Magic Kingdom, park operating hours have been extended by 1 hour on a handful of days. On about a dozen nights with only one scheduled performance of the Main Street Electrical Parade or SpectroMagic Parade, an additional showing of the parade has been added. Days affected in MK are August 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 13, 17, 20, 22, and 25.

Note that several days through the end of July in MK have also seen operating times extended by 1 hour with an additional showing of MSEP.

Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, park hours have been extended by 1 to 1.5 hours on many nights along with an additional showing of Fantasmic. These changes have mainly been scheduled on days when Fantasmic was already showing. Days affected at DHS are August 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24 and 26.

At the Animal Kingdom, park closing times have been extended by 1 hour on August 22, 25 and 28.

There are no changes at Epcot, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.
